For people who are trying to become pregnant

Reproductive goals can change throughout our lives. From preventing pregnancy to trying to conceive and all the spaces in between. When your reproductive plans change, it’s common to feel unsure of where or how to start. That’s why we’ve created Clue Conceive, a mode in the Clue app that can help increase your chances of getting pregnant. It was designed to be your personal guide throughout the entire conception process.

Clue Conceive is based on clinically tested technology and offers evidence-based, real world advice and tools to help you understand the science behind getting pregnant. It pinpoints the days in your cycle when you are most likely to conceive. Timing sex or home insemination on certain days in your cycle can help you conceive faster than trying on random days (1,2). Since your body is not a clock, Clue Conceive offers a wide range of days within your cycle that can lead to pregnancy. There’s no guesswork and no need to track anything other than your period start dates.

This is how it works

Clue Conceive is a hassle-free, convenient, and reliable tool designed to help increase your chances of getting pregnant. All you need to do is track your period start dates and Clue Conceive’s algorithm uses them to predict your chances of getting pregnant for each day of your cycle. It takes information you already know to give you the answers you need. This means you don’t have to do urine tests, temperature checks, or track discharge to know when you're most likely to get pregnant.

You’ll get personalized predictions to time sex or home insemination when and how often you want to try to get pregnant. Clue Conceive provides the predictions, explains the science, and lets you decide what works for you. It works completely on your terms and you can start and stop using it, whenever you want.

How your chances of getting pregnant can increase

Women and people with cycles have used analog calendars to predict their cycles long before digital technology existed. Calendar-based methods can be helpful, but don’t work for everyone, even if your cycles are predictable. Individualized algorithms are more accurate in predicting the days that sex or insemination can lead to pregnancy compared to calendar-based methods (2,3).

Every body is unique, and so is your cycle. The days during your cycle that conception is possible are based on when you ovulate. Since your ovulation day can vary by a few days each cycle (2) Clue Conceive offers wider predictions to guide you. It’s common to miss the best timing to conceive if you use a single ovulation date to time conception (4). The algorithm behind Clue Conceive is clinically tested to predict when you are likely to conceive, without using ovulation tests. Timing sex or insemination on these days can help you get pregnant faster (1,2).

Get science-based tips and advice from fertility experts

Clue Conceive makes scientific knowledge accessible to all. It’s written by OB/GYNs, Certified Nurse-Midwives, Registered Nurses, scientists, and reproductive health experts who have broken down the science for you into language that is easy to understand. You’ll find insightful tips and advice based on the most up-to-date science, whether you have just started or have been trying to conceive for a few months. By providing factual and clarifying information, Clue Conceive aims to serve as an empathetic companion for a process that can be exciting, nonlinear and challenging–all at the same time.

Receive support for your wellbeing from our community

Research suggests that tracking apps can support the unique educational and emotional needs, as well as daily experiences of people who are trying to conceive (5). It’s common to experience stigma during this time, which can trigger feelings of isolation and depression (5). Clue Conceive offers support by connecting you with stories written by people just like you.

You can also use Clue Conceive to track other experiences as you try to conceive. Tracking your wellbeing throughout your cycle can help you monitor trends over time and see what’s working for you (5). Clue Conceive offers tips to manage stress so you can feel empowered, which may even increase your chances of conception (6).

A guide for all people who are trying to conceive

Clue Conceive is designed for all people who wish to get pregnant. Some people who don’t identify as women can still get pregnant (7). Clue Conceive distinguishes between biological sex and gender (8). Not every pregnancy results from penis-in-vagina sex. Clue Conceive can also be used with home insemination. It helps you identify your most fertile days, so you know when it’s best to time the insemination to try to conceive. This means that the app can be used by anyone with a uterus who wants to become pregnant, whether or not they have a partner with sperm.

Trying to conceive can be both an exciting and challenging time. Your journey doesn’t need to be a lonely one. Clue Conceive can support and guide you and give you the analysis, education, and community to empower you as you try to conceive.

Keep in mind that Clue Conceive shouldn’t be used to replace the advice of a fertility clinic. It’s a good idea to see a licensed fertility clinic for more specific information on what to consider when carrying out insemination at home.

Your personal process, kept private and safe

The experience of trying to conceive is extremely personal and private. That’s why the health data, particularly any data you track that may indicate pregnancies, pregnancy loss or abortion is kept private and safe. Your tracked data is protected by the strictest data privacy laws, the European GDPR and will never be disclosed to anyone who would use it against you. You can also add some extra security measures, in case anyone else happens to gain access to your phone, like setting a protected password for your Clue app. Find out more about how to do this .

Clue Conceive: A CE-marked product

Clue Conceive was developed by fertility experts and is backed by science. Our commitment to a safe and effective reproductive health app is unwavering. The CE marking is important because it confirms that Clue Conceive has been rigorously checked and analyzed to meet the requirements of being a CE-marked product.

The European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) is a law that applies to producers of medical grade products in the EU, like Clue. In order to meet all of the requirements of this law, Clue has a Quality Management System in place, where the evidence behind the clinical validity of Clue Conceive as well as its rigorous production and testing records are documented. This makes Clue a registered medical device, unlike most apps that claim to help you conceive.
